That’s about the only single word in my lexicon that can describe HSV 3-0 drubbing at the hands of 1899 Hoffenheim. They were never in this one, and BMJ made some, ahem, curious decisions with his starting XI that really leave me (and others) scratching my (their) head(s).

Well, it may be the red-headed stepchild of European competition, but at least we are competing in Europe (albeit in a pretty tough group). Tonight, HSV square off against MŠK Žilina in a UEFA Cup Group F match in Žilina, Slovakia.

As I have written previously, I like international football, but not necessarily friendlies or qualifying matches. That said, I did watch Wednesday’s match between Germany and Wales. Oh baby.
