Congrats, diligent reader, on finding your way to my bio.

When not on an airplane, I reside in the US Midwest (think corn!). I travel regularly to the UK and the Continent for business, and somewhere along the way, started a love affair with Hamburg SV, mostly as a way of making small talk with my German colleagues. As a kid, my exposure to the Bundesliga came from Toby Charles and “Soccer Made in Germany” on Sunday afternoons on the Denver PBS affiliate KRMA. In those days, I loved Bayern Munich and had a big man-crush on Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.  My guilty pleasure in life is the EPL and Chelsea.
