I dont think Monzon will be joining us, there have been reports Real Betis have got him. Instead Daniel Pranjić is the latest to be linked with us.

It's rather nice that VDV is still keeping an eye on HSV. In the end, their insistence on keeping him despite his little shirt stunt saved him from the chaos of Valencia and got him to a far better deal and CL football.

I agree with you about Pitroipa. He really impressed me in the Arsenal pre-seaso tournament and look a lively winger. Jol loved that sort of player at Spurs (throwing Lennon into the team at 18 and begging the club to sign Wayne Routledge and latterly Martin Petrov), but JP seems to have a better end product than AL.

The only frustrations with Jol may come when you're defending a lead against a big club which can sometimes make the big man go too defensive. Maybe that won't happen now that he has a better team to look after in relation to the quality of the league.
