Bruno Labbadia
By: Chris | June 5th, 2009. . .Will be the new trainer. Three sources (Bild, Kicker.de, and the Hamburg Abendblatt) are confirming that Leverkusen have agreed to a €1.3 Million buyout of his contract. Bruno was under contract with Die Werkself until 2010, and will make about €800,000 per annum through 2012 with HSV, with incentive clauses taking the total into seven figures if Die Rothosen are successful.
Captain David Jarolim has gone on the record as saying HSV need somebody who’s going to kick some ass. And that was Bruno’s problem at Leverkusen. Bruno, unlike BMJ, doesn’t have the reputation as a player’s coach. All I can say is that he better repeat BMJ’s success in the Europa League and the Pokal, and qualify for the Champions League. If HSV really are the 8th best team in the world (and tops in Germany), he should have no problems, right?

I think you need to hold on in regards to Labbadia will be the new coach at your club, Chris. Wolfgang Holzhäuser is said to be not amused about the HSV contacting Labbadia. There is a chance he may block the move.
This is getting interesting…
