That’s the problem. Hamburg need the vdV millions to buy a proper replacement. You won’t find this replacement on a last minute transfer. So vdV should actually leave as early as possible, to give Hamburg time to make their moves. Not including the fact that attracting big players will be difficult, if they once again only make it to the UEFA Cup.
