Interesting piece
By: Chris | March 20th, 2008Ran across this article today looking for pics of Sylvie van Der Vaart. The story details much of the mainstream media’s surprise about Van der Vaart’s transfer from Ajax to HSV in 2005. At the time, HSV were a mid-table club long removed from domestic and European glory (22 years at that time since they had won the Bundesliga and European championship), toiling in the Intertoto Cup, while VDV was viewed as one of the hottest young players in the world.
As it turned out, Van der Vaart did make a very good choice, helping HSV to the Champions League in 2005/06 and keeping them in contention for a CL spot this season. Very interesting to look back at how the winds of public opinion were blowing at the time with the knowledge of how things turned out.

Hell yea…. When you said Corn i thought of Indiana. Thats where im at…Northwest Indiana.
Gotta love Van Der Vaart, hes the man. And Guerrero, i dont like him but lately hes on a streak so who cares as long as he keeps producing.
And Ivica Olic, he is a bull with no brain. I love that kind of player. Hes nuts.
