Serves him right
By: Chris | January 12th, 2008Well, Raphael van Der Vaart’s flirting FINALLY came back to bite him in the ass, as Juventus manager Claudio Ranieri was quoted yesterday as saying he doesn’t believe that the Bianconeri will sign vDV this summer. Now who will he turn his eyes to? Back to Valencia? Or maybe Chelsea, though that seems less and less likely with each match in which Michael Ballack shows his renewed health. Ha. I’m getting WAAAAAY tired of one guy being bigger than the club.
Oh. And HSV won the Dubai Football Challenge Cup, defeating China 4-0 and Vasco Da Gama 2-1. Nice work if you can get it.

I wonder if it’s a situation like Henry and Torres, where this talisman leaves and the club get infinitely better as players are allowed to be themselves. I, too, have long tired of his crap.

Johnny: maybe that, or maybe they’ll be stronger because of what the club has been doing in the background over the last couple of years. Didi Beiersdorfer has started to bring in plenty of German U17/19/21 players and now added this Vincent Kompany-clone and Chrisantus to the list. HSV probably have the strongest U21 squad in the Bundesliga.
