Hard to believe that Ze Roberto will be on the Tarnat plan. I don't think there's much left in the tank, he really faded in the 2nd half last season. Still, he ought to have his effective moments.

Hope you had a happy 4th of July. HSV certainly did. Several Dutch websites have announced that Twente and Hamburg came to an agreement after all e.g.: http://www.voetbalzone.nl/doc.asp?uid=81595

Transfer fee is around €9-10m although his former club Den Haag also supposedly gets 15%-20%, and I don't know whether their share is already priced into that figure. I guess the deal also includes the usual performance bonuses/sell on clauses...

Anyway, a young and highly talented Olic replacement is on his way. The squad is finally beginning to take shape and so far I really like the direction all this is taking. Ze Roberto will be a definite improvement no matter where in midfield Labaddia plans to deploy him. I doubt Elia will be such a hard worker as Olic, but he has the potential to be an overall improvement on this position as well.

The best part of that Simpsons clip is in the next scene. Homer gets home from the store with his bag of goodies and Marge says, "Homey, I don't know what you have planned but you can count me out..."
